Limagne - the marsh The actual marsh is in an ancient volcano crater and drains the surrounding land into this remarkable peat bog. Marais de Limagne. This site is a protected natural area and a haven for wildlife and the odd carniverous plant! A short walk from this ancient volcano crater one can find a superb view point across the sucs to the east of the Haute Loire. ∆

St Julien des Chazes Taken from the old iron bridge that crosses the Allier. From here there are many footpaths and one can access the rock climbing site as well as the well known church of St Marie. ∆
